KidsFest 2026

A vibrant event branding and wayfinding system created to guide, engage, and celebrate Fort Carson’s military families.

The Challenge

KidsFest required a visual system that could feel playful and family-friendly while also functioning clearly across a large outdoor event space. With thousands of attendees expected, the design needed to support both the event atmosphere and practical needs such as wayfinding, activity zones, parking, and crowd flow.

Creative Direction

The visual direction centered on a bright blue and purple color palette to connect the event to the Month of the Military Child while creating a playful and welcoming atmosphere for families. Purple was used to represent military-connected children, while blue helped reinforce trust, stability, and connection to the military community.

Together, the colors helped create an identity that felt meaningful, energetic, and easy to recognize across digital, print, and on-site materials.

Map Design

With more than 4,500 attendees expected, clear wayfinding was essential to creating a smoother guest experience. I designed a detailed event map to help attendees understand the venue layout, activity zones, parking areas, and key attractions before arriving on-site.

The map was promoted across social media and became one of the strongest communication tools for the event, helping families plan ahead and navigate the event with more confidence.

MOMC

CAMPAIGN

The KidsFest branding was developed as part of the larger Month of the Military Child campaign, which celebrates the resilience, experiences, and contributions of military-connected children. The campaign visuals used a bright, family-friendly direction to create consistency across event promotion, digital graphics, signage, and on-site materials.
